I think this is the only picture I have of my sable and it's with my hunny. :)
Toward the end of having it though, the engine would smoke every time I drove and then it would not have heat in the winter. The cause was some radiator problem that was supposedly fixed but then never really was. The last time I drove the car the smoke not only was on the outside, it went into the interior of the car smoking me out. I thought I was going to die from smoke inhalation. That was fun. Anyway, so God provided the money to buy my current means of transportation, a 2003 Toyota Corolla. So thankful. :)
Here is my love after Tim so graciously washed her. The cleanest she ever has been. :)
I remember your old car because that's how we went on our dates for the first six months. I had the humiliating experience of walking from my dorm to hers to walk her to her car for the Spring Banquet. Then she had to untie her laced high heels so she could drive barefoot.
ReplyDeleteDuring the winter I had the pleasure of warming the car up for her and scraping the windshield. I'm thankful we have a garage now.
I also remember the faded note card on her steering wheel with Bible verses. She used to study for class while driving too. One time I saw this lady reading a paperback while driving on the freeway, and it made me think of Rachel.
Rachel was such a trooper dealing with that car's smoking problems for as long as she did, and not having heat. Her attitude was exemplary, and I'm sure played a part in me falling in love with her. Since we went to Faith, most of our time was spent in the Eagle's Nest, the multi, or in her car driving to our dates. I probably miss her car the most of the three.
Sorry, I changed from 2nd person to 3rd person after the first sentence. Love you babe, she's the best ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, you really don't get to know a person till you hear about their everyday experiences. I look forward to what you write and "whattheredheadsaid". This will be fun. Love Hugs
